The laboratory of Medera Hospital has been awarded internationally recognized quality and accreditation certificates, including ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 15189:2012. Within the hospital laboratory, a wide range of diagnostic and laboratory tests are performed with high precision and reliability.

The laboratory is equipped with high-tech and advanced medical devices produced by leading companies from Japan, the USA, Germany, and other developed countries, ensuring accuracy and international standard compliance.

Hundreds of patients visit the laboratory every day. For each type of examination, detailed procedural guidelines are prepared, and all analyses are carried out strictly according to these protocols.

It is well known that laboratory diagnostics consist not only of the analytical phase but also of pre-analytical and post-analytical stages. To achieve accurate and reliable results, all three stages must be properly organized, and every factor that may affect the outcome must be carefully considered and eliminated in advance.

In the pre-analytical phase, one of the most critical aspects is the correct collection, storage, and transportation of biomaterials before they reach the analytical stage. Strict adherence to sampling instructions is ensured for every test. Sterile, closed vacuum systems that prevent direct contact with the environment and personnel are used for sample collection. This method ensures both patient safety and high-quality biomaterial. Automated barcoding systems assign a unique code to each sample, eliminating the risk of identification errors and ensuring full traceability.

The analytical phase follows, where strict attention is given to factors that may influence quality, such as equipment performance, reagent quality, and laboratory conditions. All procedures are carried out in compliance with internationally established protocols and standards. Quality control checks are performed daily in all laboratory departments, and when necessary, several times a day.

Through an integrated information system, test results are directly entered into a computerized database. Each result passes through multiple verification stages: first by a laboratory specialist, then by the laboratory director, and finally by the quality manager. This multi-level control system allows full traceability from the moment of sample collection to the final result.

Only results that pass all quality control criteria are delivered to patients, ensuring maximum accuracy, safety, and reliability.
