Radiology

Detailed information

Radiology is a medical field used to visualize organs, tissues, and systems in the body. Radiologists play a key role in diagnosing diseases and planning treatment using technologies such as X-rays, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Computed Tomography (CT).

Advanced Imaging Technologies
Hospitals are equipped with the latest technological devices. With advanced imaging technologies such as 3D tomography, digital mammography, and ultrasound, radiologists can diagnose diseases more quickly and accurately.

The Power of Early Diagnosis
Radiology can help detect many diseases at an early stage. Early diagnosis increases treatment success and can prevent disease progression. Mammography screening for breast cancer is a good example.

Radiology and Treatment Planning
Radiology plays an important role before and after surgery. In radiation therapy and similar treatments, doctors use radiological images to target specific areas and apply treatment more accurately.

Patient-Centered Service Approach
Hospitals not only focus on technological excellence but also on patient-centered care in radiology. Radiologists provide clear information to patients, enabling them to actively participate in their treatment process.

Radiology Services at Medera Hospital:

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – GE BRIVO 355, 1.5 Tesla
  • Computed Tomography (CT) – 16-detector, 3D reconstruction, and virtual endoscopy
  • X-ray Diagnostics – GE XR 6000 Digital
  • Angiography and Invasive Radiology
  • Ultrasound – Philips Epiq 7, Logic E9, Voluson E8 3D/4D, Portable Logiq GE Vscan

Computed Tomography (CT)
CT uses X-rays to obtain cross-sectional images of the body. The patient lies still inside the CT scanner while images are displayed on a computer screen. Depending on the examination, contrast agents may be administered intravenously or orally.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Our GE BRIVO 355 MRI has a 1.5 Tesla strength. The department has all MR coils, allowing high-quality imaging of any body part.

CT Scanner
The GE BRIGHTSPEED 16-detector CT allows rapid imaging in 15–30 seconds with thin slices. Its triple-phase imaging provides detailed information for evaluating fractures and anomalies.

Digital X-ray
Our digital X-ray device is used for contrast examinations of the stomach, intestines, kidneys, bladder, uterus, and fallopian tubes, as well as for imaging bile ducts and treatment procedures like drainage and stent placement.

Angiography and Invasive Procedures
Angiography and other invasive diagnostic procedures are performed at a high professional level by our specialized physicians.
